Terms and Definitions¶
A¶
API Key
A unique identifier used to authenticate external systems with ConnectGain APIs. API keys are prefixed with cg_ and are scoped to organizations.
Automation Rule A configuration that automatically performs actions when specific triggers occur (e.g., assign conversation when message received).
Assignee The team member assigned to handle a contact, deal, conversation, or task.

Bot Flow A visual workflow builder for creating automated chatbots that can interact with customers through conversations.
Broadcast Campaign A marketing campaign that sends messages to multiple contacts simultaneously via SMS, WhatsApp, or other channels.

Channel A messaging platform integrated with ConnectGain (WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, Telegram, Email, SMS).
Channel Account A connected instance of a messaging channel (e.g., a specific WhatsApp Business account).
Contact A customer or lead record in the CRM system, containing information like name, phone, email, and custom fields.
Conversation A message thread between a contact and your team, containing multiple messages across a channel.
Custom Field User-defined fields added to contacts, deals, or other entities to store additional information.

Deal A sales opportunity tracked through stages in a pipeline, with value, probability, and expected close date.
Dashboard Widget A customizable component on the dashboard that displays specific metrics or data visualizations.

Edge Function A serverless function hosted on Supabase that handles business logic, integrations, and API endpoints.

Filter A condition applied to lists (contacts, deals, conversations) to show only matching items.

Grid View A card-based display mode for viewing contacts, companies, or other entities.

HMAC Signature A cryptographic signature used to verify webhook authenticity and prevent unauthorized requests.

Import The process of bulk loading data (contacts, companies) from CSV files or external systems.
Inbox The unified messaging center where all conversations from all channels are displayed together.

Kanban Board A visual board view for deals, showing stages as columns and deals as cards that can be dragged between stages.
Kommo A CRM system that can be integrated with ConnectGain for importing leads and contacts.

Message An individual communication sent or received through a channel, part of a conversation.
Message Template A pre-defined message format that can be reused, often with variable placeholders.

Note A text annotation added to a contact, deal, or conversation to document interactions or information.
Notification Log A record of campaign message delivery attempts and status for tracking campaign performance.

Organization A company or business entity using ConnectGain. Users belong to organizations and data is scoped to organizations.

Pipeline A sales process with defined stages (e.g., Lead, Qualified, Proposal, Closed Won) through which deals progress.
Probability The likelihood (0-100%) that a deal will close successfully, used for revenue forecasting.
Profile A user account record containing name, email, role, and organization membership.
Q¶
Quick Reply A pre-defined message template that can be quickly inserted into conversations for common responses.

Real-time Live updates that appear automatically without page refresh, powered by WebSocket connections.
RLS (Row Level Security) Database-level security that restricts data access based on user permissions and organization membership.

Stage A step in a sales pipeline (e.g., "Lead", "Qualified") representing where a deal is in the sales process.
Subscription A paid plan that determines feature access, usage limits, and billing for an organization.
T¶
Tag A label applied to contacts, deals, or conversations for categorization and filtering.
Task A to-do item assigned to a team member, often related to a contact or deal, with due dates and priorities.
Template A reusable message format, especially for WhatsApp Business API approved message templates.
U¶
Unified Inbox The central inbox that displays all conversations from all connected channels in one place.
Use Case A specific business scenario demonstrating how ConnectGain features solve real-world problems.
W¶
Webhook An HTTP callback that sends event notifications to external systems when specific events occur in ConnectGain.
Widget A customizable dashboard component that displays specific metrics or data.
Z¶
Zone (Timezone) Time zone settings used for scheduling campaigns, setting business hours, and displaying timestamps.
