Getting Started with ConnectGain

Welcome to ConnectGain! This guide will help you get up and running quickly.

What is ConnectGain?

ConnectGain is a comprehensive customer engagement platform that:

  • Unifies messaging across WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, Telegram, Email, and SMS
  • Manages customer relationships with a complete CRM (contacts, companies, deals, tasks)
  • Automates workflows with bot flows and automation rules
  • Runs campaigns with broadcast messaging and scheduling
  • Provides analytics with real-time metrics and insights
  • Enables team collaboration with role-based access control

Quick Start (5 Minutes)

Step 1: Sign Up

  1. Navigate to the ConnectGain sign-up page
  2. Enter your email address and create a password
  3. Verify your email address
  4. Complete the onboarding flow

Step 2: Create Your Organization

  1. Enter your organization name
  2. Select your timezone
  3. Choose your currency
  4. Complete the setup

Step 3: Connect a Channel

For WhatsApp Lite (Recommended for Quick Start):

  1. Go to Settings → Channels
  2. Click "Add Channel" → "WhatsApp Lite"
  3. Enter your AppGain Suit ID
  4. Click "Connect"

For Other Channels:

  1. Go to Settings → Channels
  2. Select your channel (Messenger, Instagram, etc.)
  3. Follow the OAuth flow
  4. Authorize ConnectGain

Step 4: Import Contacts

Option A: CSV Import

  1. Go to Contacts → Import
  2. Download the CSV template
  3. Fill in your contact data
  4. Upload the CSV file
  5. Review and confirm import

Option B: Manual Entry

  1. Go to Contacts
  2. Click "New Contact"
  3. Fill in contact details
  4. Save

Step 5: Send Your First Message

  1. Go to Inbox
  2. Select a conversation or create a new one
  3. Type your message
  4. Click "Send"

Congratulations! You're now using ConnectGain.


Setting Up Your Account

Profile Setup

  1. Go to Profile (top right → Your Name → Profile)
  2. Update your information:
  3. First Name
  4. Last Name
  5. Avatar (optional)
  6. Timezone
  7. Language preferences

Organization Settings

  1. Go to Settings → Organization
  2. Configure:
  3. Organization name
  4. Default timezone
  5. Default currency
  6. Business hours
  7. Notification preferences

Team Setup (Optional)

  1. Go to Settings → Team
  2. Invite team members:
  3. Enter email addresses
  4. Assign roles (OWNER, ADMIN, AGENT)
  5. Send invitations
  6. Set permissions for each role

Connecting Your First Channel

WhatsApp Lite (AppGain)

Prerequisites: - AppGain account - Suit ID from AppGain

Steps:

  1. Go to Settings → Channels
  2. Click "Add Channel"
  3. Select "WhatsApp Lite"
  4. Enter your Suit ID (e.g., YOUR_SUIT_ID)
  5. Click "Connect"
  6. Verify connection status (should show "Connected")

Testing:

  1. Send a test message to your WhatsApp number
  2. Check the Inbox - you should see the message appear
  3. Reply from ConnectGain - the message should be delivered

WhatsApp Cloud (Meta)

Prerequisites: - Meta Business Account - WhatsApp Business API access - Access Token and Phone Number ID

Steps:

  1. Go to Settings → Channels
  2. Click "Add Channel"
  3. Select "WhatsApp Cloud"
  4. Enter:
  5. Access Token
  6. Phone Number ID
  7. Business Account ID (optional)
  8. Click "Connect"
  9. Configure webhook URL in Meta Developer Console

Webhook Setup:

  1. Copy webhook URL: https://txpaxbxhnvnhsjwwaeoy.supabase.co/functions/v1/whatsapp-cloud-webhook
  2. Go to Meta Developer Console → Webhooks
  3. Paste webhook URL
  4. Subscribe to messages events
  5. Verify webhook

Facebook Messenger

Steps:

  1. Go to Settings → Channels
  2. Click "Add Channel"
  3. Select "Facebook Messenger"
  4. Click "Connect with Facebook"
  5. Authorize ConnectGain
  6. Select your Facebook Page
  7. Complete setup

Instagram Direct Messages

Steps:

  1. Go to Settings → Channels
  2. Click "Add Channel"
  3. Select "Instagram"
  4. Click "Connect with Facebook" (Instagram uses Facebook OAuth)
  5. Authorize ConnectGain
  6. Select your Instagram Business Account
  7. Complete setup

Telegram

Steps:

  1. Create a Telegram Bot via @BotFather
  2. Get your Bot Token
  3. Go to Settings → Channels
  4. Click "Add Channel"
  5. Select "Telegram"
  6. Enter your Bot Token
  7. Click "Connect"
  8. Configure webhook URL

Importing Contacts

CSV Import

Supported Fields:

  • First Name, Last Name
  • Email, Phone Number, Mobile Phone Number
  • Company Name, Job Title
  • Address (Street, City, State, Postal Code, Country)
  • Lead Status, Lifecycle Stage
  • Custom Fields

Steps:

  1. Go to Contacts → Import
  2. Click "Import Contacts"
  3. Download CSV template (optional)
  4. Prepare your CSV file with contact data
  5. Upload CSV file
  6. Map columns (if needed)
  7. Review preview
  8. Click "Import"
  9. Review import results

CSV Format Example:

First Name,Last Name,Email,Phone Number,Company name,City,Country/Region
John,Doe,john@example.com,+1234567890,Acme Inc,New York,US
Jane,Smith,jane@example.com,+1987654321,Tech Corp,San Francisco,US

Kommo CRM Import

Steps:

  1. Go to Contacts → Import
  2. Click "Import from Kommo"
  3. Upload Kommo export CSV
  4. Map fields
  5. Review and import

Manual Entry

Steps:

  1. Go to Contacts
  2. Click "New Contact"
  3. Fill in:
  4. Name (First, Last)
  5. Phone numbers
  6. Email addresses
  7. Company (optional)
  8. Tags (optional)
  9. Custom fields (optional)
  10. Click "Save"

Bulk Actions

After importing, you can:

  • Tag contacts - Select multiple contacts and add tags
  • Assign contacts - Assign to team members
  • Create deals - Convert contacts to deals
  • Export contacts - Download as CSV

Sending Your First Message

From Inbox

  1. Go to Inbox
  2. Select a conversation or click "New Conversation"
  3. If new conversation:
  4. Select a contact
  5. Select a channel
  6. Start typing
  7. Type your message
  8. Optional:
  9. Add emoji
  10. Attach file/image
  11. Use quick reply template
  12. Click "Send"

From Contact Details

  1. Go to Contacts
  2. Click on a contact
  3. Click "Send Message"
  4. Select channel
  5. Type and send

Using Templates

  1. Go to Templates
  2. Create a template or use existing
  3. Go to Inbox
  4. Select conversation
  5. Click "Templates"
  6. Select template
  7. Customize variables (if any)
  8. Send

Quick Replies

  1. Go to Settings → Quick Replies
  2. Create quick reply templates
  3. In Inbox:
  4. Type / to see quick replies
  5. Select a quick reply
  6. Customize and send
