What is ConnectGain?¶
ConnectGain is a comprehensive customer engagement platform that:
- Unifies messaging across WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, Telegram, Email, and SMS
- Manages customer relationships with a complete CRM (contacts, companies, deals, tasks)
- Automates workflows with bot flows and automation rules
- Runs campaigns with broadcast messaging and scheduling
- Provides analytics with real-time metrics and insights
- Enables team collaboration with role-based access control
Quick Start (5 Minutes)¶
Step 1: Sign Up¶
- Navigate to the ConnectGain sign-up page
- Enter your email address and create a password
- Verify your email address
- Complete the onboarding flow
Step 2: Create Your Organization¶
- Enter your organization name
- Select your timezone
- Choose your currency
- Complete the setup
Step 3: Connect a Channel¶
For WhatsApp Lite (Recommended for Quick Start):
- Go to Settings → Channels
- Click "Add Channel" → "WhatsApp Lite"
- Enter your AppGain Suit ID
- Click "Connect"
For Other Channels:
- Go to Settings → Channels
- Select your channel (Messenger, Instagram, etc.)
- Follow the OAuth flow
- Authorize ConnectGain
Step 4: Import Contacts¶
Option A: CSV Import
- Go to Contacts → Import
- Download the CSV template
- Fill in your contact data
- Upload the CSV file
- Review and confirm import
Option B: Manual Entry
- Go to Contacts
- Click "New Contact"
- Fill in contact details
- Save
Step 5: Send Your First Message¶
- Go to Inbox
- Select a conversation or create a new one
- Type your message
- Click "Send"
Congratulations! You're now using ConnectGain.
Setting Up Your Account¶
Profile Setup¶
- Go to Profile (top right → Your Name → Profile)
- Update your information:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Avatar (optional)
- Timezone
- Language preferences
Organization Settings¶
- Go to Settings → Organization
- Configure:
- Organization name
- Default timezone
- Default currency
- Business hours
- Notification preferences
Team Setup (Optional)¶
- Go to Settings → Team
- Invite team members:
- Enter email addresses
- Assign roles (OWNER, ADMIN, AGENT)
- Send invitations
- Set permissions for each role
Connecting Your First Channel¶
WhatsApp Lite (AppGain)¶
Prerequisites: - AppGain account - Suit ID from AppGain
Steps:
- Go to Settings → Channels
- Click "Add Channel"
- Select "WhatsApp Lite"
- Enter your Suit ID (e.g.,
YOUR_SUIT_ID) - Click "Connect"
- Verify connection status (should show "Connected")
Testing:
- Send a test message to your WhatsApp number
- Check the Inbox - you should see the message appear
- Reply from ConnectGain - the message should be delivered
WhatsApp Cloud (Meta)¶
Prerequisites: - Meta Business Account - WhatsApp Business API access - Access Token and Phone Number ID
Steps:
- Go to Settings → Channels
- Click "Add Channel"
- Select "WhatsApp Cloud"
- Enter:
- Access Token
- Phone Number ID
- Business Account ID (optional)
- Click "Connect"
- Configure webhook URL in Meta Developer Console
Webhook Setup:
- Copy webhook URL:

- Paste webhook URL
- Subscribe to
messagesevents - Verify webhook
Facebook Messenger¶
Steps:
- Go to Settings → Channels
- Click "Add Channel"
- Select "Facebook Messenger"
- Click "Connect with Facebook"
- Authorize ConnectGain
- Select your Facebook Page
- Complete setup
Instagram Direct Messages¶
Steps:
- Go to Settings → Channels
- Click "Add Channel"
- Select "Instagram"
- Click "Connect with Facebook" (Instagram uses Facebook OAuth)
- Authorize ConnectGain
- Select your Instagram Business Account
- Complete setup
Telegram¶
Steps:
- Create a Telegram Bot via @BotFather
- Get your Bot Token
- Go to Settings → Channels
- Click "Add Channel"
- Select "Telegram"
- Enter your Bot Token
- Click "Connect"
- Configure webhook URL
Importing Contacts¶
CSV Import¶
Supported Fields:
- First Name, Last Name
- Email, Phone Number, Mobile Phone Number
- Company Name, Job Title
- Address (Street, City, State, Postal Code, Country)
- Lead Status, Lifecycle Stage
- Custom Fields
Steps:
- Go to Contacts → Import
- Click "Import Contacts"
- Download CSV template (optional)
- Prepare your CSV file with contact data
- Upload CSV file
- Map columns (if needed)
- Review preview
- Click "Import"
- Review import results
CSV Format Example:

Kommo CRM Import¶
Steps:
- Go to Contacts → Import
- Click "Import from Kommo"
- Upload Kommo export CSV
- Map fields
- Review and import
Manual Entry¶
Steps:
- Go to Contacts
- Click "New Contact"
- Fill in:
- Name (First, Last)
- Phone numbers
- Email addresses
- Company (optional)
- Tags (optional)
- Custom fields (optional)
- Click "Save"
Bulk Actions¶
After importing, you can:
- Tag contacts - Select multiple contacts and add tags
- Assign contacts - Assign to team members
- Create deals - Convert contacts to deals
- Export contacts - Download as CSV
Sending Your First Message¶
From Inbox¶
- Go to Inbox
- Select a conversation or click "New Conversation"
- If new conversation:
- Select a contact
- Select a channel
- Start typing
- Type your message
- Optional:
- Add emoji
- Attach file/image
- Use quick reply template
- Click "Send"
From Contact Details¶
- Go to Contacts
- Click on a contact
- Click "Send Message"
- Select channel
- Type and send
Using Templates¶
- Go to Templates
- Create a template or use existing
- Go to Inbox
- Select conversation
- Click "Templates"
- Select template
- Customize variables (if any)
- Send
Quick Replies¶
- Go to Settings → Quick Replies
- Create quick reply templates
- In Inbox:
- Type
/to see quick replies - Select a quick reply
- Customize and send
